Should I use links to my own site to display the drawings or use lower res or smaller pics?
Human asked:
I’m creating an Illustrated e-book. I’m finding that my computer is refusing to load the hand drawings into my word processor when I attempt to display the work already done! The content in my ebook demands that I use many pictures.
Just wondering, if this is going to be a problem to my readers after a sale or what is the best way to handle it!
I should mention that I have not posted the ebook to the web, but Im experiencing the problems on my desktop while in the process of creation!
Im embedding the the drawings into the text of a Word file. This is my first time at ebook creation so Im a little ignorant. Please help!

First, consider that any artwork posted online becomes the property of anyone who right clicks it.
There are ways to protect your art, but they will cost you.
As to adding your pics, are you scanning them in and placing them in documents? Or are they loaded from a cam?
Either way, load them to documents.
theres really no way to really protect your work since anyone can just print screen…
anyways i would thumbnail and link to the larger pic. if ur worried about eating up ur sites bandwidth then i suggest you host your pics at a freehosting site like or
